The CBAT has five tests, and the hall gives each test as one of its kinds of question: six kinds for the Memory Test, three for Following Directions, two for Depth Perception, four for Power of Observation and five for Perceptual Speed. You do not know in advance which kind you will get, so every kind must be practised. Each page below gives that kind's count and clock (the hall's; this portal's own setting for 1f), a worked example from the RDSO guideline or the railway's mock, the method, tips, mistakes and a 7-day plan.

Test 1 · Memory Testस्मृति परीक्षण
The RRB ALP Memory Test is Test 1 of the CBAT, the psycho test after CBT 2. In the hall it is one of six kinds: House Position Test (1a), Figure to Number Test (1b), Railway Track Route Test (1c), Figure to Figure Test (1d), Figure Find Test (1e) or Vehicle & Signal Position Test (1f), the kind new in the railway's mock for CEN 01/2025. Each kind has two parts, each with a study stage and then a test stage. Kinds 1a, 1c and 1e give 24 questions in 8 minutes; 1b and 1d give 42 or 40 in 12 minutes; 1f gives 24 in 10 minutes on this portal, as 12 + 12 (6 in 4 minutes, as 3 + 3, in the railway's mock). The test measures how much you can hold in mind for a short while.

Test 2 · Following Directions Testनिर्देश पालन परीक्षण
The Following Directions Test is Test 2 of the RRB ALP CBAT, the psycho test after CBT 2. The hall gives it as the Letter Table Test (2a), the Watch Table Test (2b) or the Number Table Test (2c). The Letter Table and the Number Table give 10 questions in 5 minutes; the Watch Table gives 20 in 10. Each question is a sentence of directions. The test measures whether you read it once and carry it out exactly, under a clock. Every kind follows the RDSO guideline (ALPs Guidelines CBT, Jan 2020).

Test 3 · Depth Perception Testगहराई बोध परीक्षण
The Depth Perception Test is Test 3 of the RRB ALP CBAT, the psycho test after CBT 2. In the hall it comes as the Brick Test (3a) or the Hidden Cube Test (3b). Both show a flat drawing of a pile; you count what the drawing only partly shows. The Brick Test gives 50 questions in 5 minutes; the Hidden Cube Test gives 50 questions in 10 minutes. The test measures how you read depth: what stands in front, what is behind, what must be underneath. Both kinds follow the RDSO guideline (ALPs Guidelines CBT, Jan 2020).

The Power of Observation Test is Test 4 of the RRB ALP CBAT, the psycho test after CBT 2. The hall gives one of four kinds: Yes or No Test, Find 6 Test, Find 9 Test or Figure Placement Test. Yes or No gives 96 questions in 4 minutes. Find 6 and Find 9 give 75 in 4 minutes each. Figure Placement gives 60 in 7 minutes. The test measures how quickly and how accurately you notice a small difference on a screen. The pattern follows the RDSO guideline (ALPs Guidelines CBT, Jan 2020).

Test 5 · Perceptual Speed Testप्रत्यक्ष गति परीक्षण
The Perceptual Speed Test is Test 5 of the RRB ALP CBAT. The hall gives one of five kinds: Similarity Test, Octagonal Test, Similarity Test Type-II, Same Circle Test or Same Figure Test. Every kind shows one figure and five options. The Similarity Test and Similarity Test Type-II want the one most nearly like it, figures in the first and objects in the second. The other three want the identical figure. The clock is short: Octagonal Test, 96 questions in 5 minutes; Same Figure Test, 72 in 8. It measures how fast and accurately your eye finds a small difference.
